Okay.  So I swear I’m not the anti-Christ of fangirling.  Nor am I a Nazi for the fans.  But some days, I go into Tumblr and I go to Twitter and I swear some of the posts.  And I won’t say they were the new fans or old fans.  But here’s the thing.  There are fantasies; there are innuendos…and then there’s crossing the line.  And please don’t tell me that it’s all about the culture..because it doesn’t matter what culture or country you’re from..bad taste is bad taste, bad manners is bad manners, bad form is bad form.  Don’t say it’s about the age as well - bad manners is not excusable at any age.

So when I wail on what’s bad manners or bad form, what exactly do I mean?  I hate it when people spam the shit out of a celeb timeline.  I get it.  You want him/ her to notice you or retweet you or tweet you back.  Believe me, I’ve been there. But I don’t think it’s nice to tweet the person every 5 seconds just so he’d/she’d notice you.  And once you do get the blessed tweet, I don’t think it’s nice to spam his/her timeline AGAIN so he/she would tweet your FRIENDS.  If you can’t fathom what that’s like for the person you’re tweeting (I mean, after all, with all his/her followers, if you don’t tweet every 5 seconds, he/she won’t see your tweet, right?), try putting yourself in a tweet-friend/contact’s place.  You open your timeline and it has a thousand tweets to one person, asking, nay BEGGING them to “tweet me, tweet me!”.  I admit, I have been a bit guilty of this sin, but once I realized how terribly annoying it was, I just stopped.  And then there’s the way some of the tweets are worded.  I mean, I get that not everyone is a native English speaker.  But seriously, the ones I read that DEMAND or are actually very rude..happen to be from those that speak and understand English really well.  So am I going to ask you to stop doing it?  Nope, that’s all on you.  But I will ask you to PLEASE consider the people you tweet.  And the people who are your friends/following you on Twitter.

I’m not asking you to stop posting or stop declaring your love for your celeb crush.  Free speech and all.  But when you do so, please do so mindfully.  Remember that what you post, pretty much stays around what passes for forever on the internet.  

So that’s it.  Whether you read this or bash it or just scan thru this, for what it’s worth, this is my 2-cents worth.  

Now about those weird photos you take of yourself drunk on Facebook….
